Here's the second piece. I'm learning all about this blogging as I go along.

On Sunday we went for a drive to Fryerstown near Castlemaine. Each Australia Day weekend they have an Antique Fair with buyers and sellers coming from all over Victoria and interstate. The town only has a population of about 120 yet they get a crowd of about 30,000 there.
I just love to spend time going through antique stores to look for doilies,  old sewing supplies, buttons and old china. I wish I had house big enough to look at furniture but I don't so I dare not look. I have a small collection of crinoline lady china and these are 2 more pieces I have added.

And this is a quilt I made for my sons birthday. I have been sewing with vintage and shabby chic fabric for so long now it was great to use something different.  This is ready for the quilters also.
Today has been a very hot muggy day. It's not  easy to sew 3and half inch squares with the fan blowing  around. I don't have a sewing room.  In the past I have always used our big kitchen table where the air conditioner is. I have since moved into the 'good room' which is also known as the lounge but never gets used. Oh to have a proper sewing room to lock myself away in...with air conditioner of course.

This is a quilt I made for my sister. She moved into her new house a few months ago and all the colors in the Wuthering Heights range of fabric are in her new house. It's already for the quilting.

Well here is my first post. I really shouldn't be starting one of these as I hardly find the time to sew, so who knows when I will find time to do both.  Today I am sewing my Dick and Jane fabric.  I cut everything up 2 weeks ago but am finding it very hard to find time at the sewing machine. Hopefully once husband and 2 children go back to work and school things will become a little less hectic.
This is the photo of a quilt I made for my daughter's 17th Birthday last Sunday. It was made about 6 months ago and was hanging in Primitive Patches in Mentone, so it came as quite a surprise to her.
