The craft show

I went to the Melbourne Craft show yesterday. Bought myself a  new sewing basket. It is so Antique looking. I have looking for one for years and when I saw this from a distance I thought that's what I want.  It was on sale for $45.00. Bargain!!! Bought a few fat quarters also. Natalie Bird has a new Block of the Month which  I'm thinking of joining also. Has angels, teacups. cupcakes and cant remember the rest. Ithink shoes as well. All my favourite things.

Butterfly Garden

Here is my nearly finished Block one. I just have a little stitching to do. Really happy with the fabric. Very different for me. The color isn't the best in this photo. My butterflies in the bottom middle square look white but they are actually a light blue.

look what the postie bought today....

Cant wait to play with this pattern and fabric. I am in love with the dots from this range. Just beautiful. Now tell me, Is it wrong to kiss the postie when he brings parcels of fabric? I don't think so but my husband asks why are we getting a new postie after each delivery. I don't see the problem.

pincushions

Over at Blueberrylane,  Carey is having a competition to win a pincushion book from Lynette Anderson. All you have to do is leave a comment and post a picture of your pincushion on your blog. There are some amazing pincushions out there and some fantastic blogs to look at.
Here's my pincushion. It's weighted down so it will sit on your sewing table or maybe coffee table while you are stitching in front of the tele. There is a bag that hangs below for all your scraps. Just fantastic invention. MY friend Leonie from Gingham Collection designed it and made it for me for my birthday.
