Oh my gosh! Thank heavens you rescued the sampler! Needlework like that, especially with its known, interesting history should always be preserved. It looks like you are taking excellent care of it. I had the same problem with my Grandma,she could never understand why I wanted to preserve what she called "her junk". lol
